About Block ‘n Tackle 

Block ‘n Tackle is a great local business success story. With humble beginnings starting as four Avoca Beach mates with a passion for brewing beer, they all shared their beer, recipes and techniques from their home garages. What grew was a big fan base for their beer and in April 2015, Block ‘n Tackle officially opened their doors to the general public.

Just over 12 months on and Block ‘n Tackle have brewed a wide range of small-batch brews from their Kincumber brewhouse with the retail cellar door proving popular with the locals for tasting and takeaways, while the wholesale business has been growing with an increasing number of pubs and restaurants now stocking their product. The small-batch size has enabled Block ’n Tackle to brew an array of beer styles including Pale Ales, Golden Ales, Stouts, Porter’s IPA’s.

To give back to the local Central Coast community, they auctioned their # 1 anniversary Frost Russian Imperial Stout bottle on Ebay. All proceeds went to Central Coast Kids In Need. Central Coast Kids In Need assist local families with accommodation costs to stay with their sick children while undergoing specialised treatment in Sydney/Newcastle hospitals. A large proportion of these children are cancer patients, premi babies with life threatening health issues, bone marrow transplants, organ transplants, spina bifida and cystic fibrosis.

FourSeeds Marketing recently worked with Block n Tackle Brewery to promote their “Brew Do” anniversary event. The main purpose of the event was to celebrate one year of being in business and raise money for a local charity Central Coast Kids in Need Inc.

FourSeeds Marketing secured free media exposure with an industry beer magazine, NBN news, local radio station 2GO and Central Coast Express Advocate.

Overall the event was a total sell out and they raised $810 for Central Coast Kids in Need Inc!!

By the end of the first meeting with Katie, we knew she had a great understanding of the needs of our brewery. Her insightful questions hit the mark and her ideas were all backed by solutions that could easily be put into practice to achieve the results we needed. Even though we have only begun our relationship with Four Seeds Marketing, we are already looking forward to the future with better direction and focus now being applied to our marketing activity.
